Privacy at a glance

Your files stay yours.

Fileora is built for local, browser-based processing. This page explains what happens when you use the app.

Files and text

For supported tools, files and text are read by your browser and processed on your device. They are not uploaded to a Fileora backend, stored in a Fileora database, or sent to an operator.

Temporary browser storage

When you select a file on the homepage and choose a suggested tool, Fileora temporarily stores that file in your browser's IndexedDB so the destination page can load it. The handoff file is removed after the tool page reads it.

Preferences

Fileora may store display preferences such as your light or dark theme in local storage. These preferences stay in your browser.

External services and links

The app loads selected browser libraries from pinned public CDNs when a tool needs them. External tools, including the AES tool, open on their own website and follow their own privacy policies.

Your control

You can clear browser storage through your browser settings at any time. You can also remove downloaded results from your device like any other local file.
